International tugboat operator required an IMCA M149 CMID on their tug, the Britoil 120 in the port of Rotterdam on short notice. As an Accredited Vessel Inspector, Wyndward Maritime reported onboard and executed the survey within the required time window, so that the report could be accessed by their end client in the IMCA database and the vessel could commence its next project.
The IMCA CMID vessel assurance system is not commonly used in Western Canada but is now part of the vessel pre-qualification and vetting process for major industrial contractors like Shell’s LNG Canada project. If you would like to learn more about CMID or have your vessels inspected so that you can tender to contractors working for LNGC, contact Wyndward Maritime your local AVI.
