It is our 1st Christmas back in the Netherlands after 4 years and the 1st Christmas for Wyndward Maritime B.V., out new Dutch legal entity, so 2022 is closing in style.
2022 has been another busy year with the highlight being the move from British Columbia back to the Netherlands so that we can be closer to my daughter who is attending university in Utrecht, and to our Dutch family. We have kept a foot hold in the beautiful seaside town of Sidney BC and Wyndward Maritime Ltd is still there to support clients in Canada. I will return to Canada frequently to see my parents, catch up with clients and soak up the great outdoors.
We are now settled in Berkel en Rodenrijs on the north side of Rotterdam.
I have been busy since landing helping several clients in Canada to redesign their safety and quality management systems which is very rewarding work. I am also providing on site safety and quality management support to a local company in Rotterdam who provides component transportation solutions to the offshore energy and civil construction industries. It is great fun to be surrounded by such a young and highly educated team.
2023 will be a challenging year with the global economy stuttering, galloping inflation, the energy crisis here in Europe and a general feeling of unrest. It is times of uncertainty where bright ideas illuminate the path forward and we all need to support on another. Wyndward Maritime will be there to try and help where ever we can.
